dpa -- Afghanistan & Pakistan

With the new year, I’ve made the switch to the Afghanistan and Pakistan desk with Germany’s news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa). I am now based in Islamabad as dpa’s bureau chief and correspondent here.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to witness another present. It’s a deeply humbling experience, living and working based in Islamabad. And it’s just amazing to come full circle back to my deep love for the region.

I’m very thankful for great colleagues and teachers at DW. I will miss video. I will miss the visual teams and the explorative work. But I’m just absolutely thrilled for the different present that will unfold for me.

More to follow.

Off to a new present.
